During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, a bride encountered a strong beamer on her way to get married, and her family ran away in a hurry, but she was brutally killed. After the incident, he was placed in a common people’s temple in Zhongshanli, Waipu District, Taichung City. However, because of frequent efficacious deeds after the incident, the local government raised funds for sculptures and built temples for worship 30 years ago. Residents called them "Bride Gong" and became the Waipu area. The special small temple is also a place for local students to visit the humanities. During the Qing Dynasty, the Mamingpu area was frequently visited by aborigines. Lai Jinghui, the chief of Zhongshan Li in the district, said that local traditions say that during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, when a line of welcoming families passed through Ma Mingpu, they encountered aboriginal robbery. Seeing that the situation was wrong, the bearer and his family immediately threw down the bride’s sedan chair and fled each other. Not only robbed the money and killed the bride, the local residents had to place her spiritual bones in a common people’s temple. Later, a citizen in the four homes of Houli was passing by and was lost in the fog. A woman appeared to show the way to help the people get to their homes. However, the woman suddenly disappeared from the fog. The residents of the four homes were in the local area to thank the women for their help. A golden furnace was set up to worship, and it was called the Bride of the Bride. Because the temple was hidden in the farmland, the Bride’s Chastity Shrine also had a stage, which was often mistaken for a Di Gong temple. In the early days, people in the Mamingpu area prayed to the bride’s mother for the safety of the family. They all wanted everything to be done, the place was peaceful, and nearby people raised funds to buy land and build temples. Many foreign residents walked by here and saw the road sign of the Bride's Chastity Temple. They were quite curious about how to be a bride but still keep the chastity.
