★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 相傳前清時期，大甲東社的某一小社的番仔王（小酋長），為了禮佛，1931年在此建立小廟，供民眾修習佛學。輾轉幾手後，到王普進先生主持稱「德合堂」，昭和十年（1935年）毀於中部大地震，王寺主於是重新募款興建為一木造的日式佛堂（現在的大雄寶殿）。
 According to legend, in the pre-Qing period, the King of Fanzai (little chief) of a small society in the Dajia East Society established a small temple here in 1931 for the purpose of ritual Buddha for the people to practice Buddhism. After a few rounds of hands, Mr. Wang Pujin presided over the "Dehe Hall", which was destroyed by the Great Earthquake in the Tenth Showa period (1935), and the main temple of Wang Temple was re-funded to build a Japanese-style Buddhist temple (now the Great Hall).
