Since the establishment of the Department in 1949, the Department has been shouldering the responsibility of cultivating excellent teachers and providing teachers with on-the-job training. At present, there are 16 full-time teachers in the department, including 6 professors, 8 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 16 doctoral degree holders. Currently, there are well-planned research laboratories: symbiosis of insects and microorganisms, algae resource engineering, Social Entomology, Animal Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Yeast Biodiversity and Ecological Evolution, Bionics, Molecular Neuroendocrinology, Molecular Biology, Plant Genetic Engineering, Molecular Health Sciences, Molecular Medicine, Free Radical Biology and Biotechnology These research laboratories can give full play to the functions of teaching and research, including bioinformatics, biology teacher training, environmental education, multimedia biology teaching and learning, brain cognition and learning. In addition to the basic equipment distributed in the above-mentioned individual laboratories, in recent years, the Department of Biology of the University has expanded a large number of larger instruments, such as gene chip manufacturing and analysis systems, real-time polymerization and chain reaction reactors, automatic nucleic acid purification instruments, micro Injection system, nucleic acid sequencer, biosensor chip analyzer, genomic workstation, fully automatic genetic analyzer, two-dimensional protein electrophoresis system, polymerized chain reaction reactor (PCR), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) , Scanning electron microscope (SEM), high-performance capillary electrophoresis analyzer, enzyme immunolinked reader, ladder temperature incubator, ultra-high speed refrigerated centrifuge, frozen microtome, direct-reading constant temperature incubator, etc. These instruments are placed in public valuable instrument rooms for use by research laboratories to maximize their effectiveness. Most of the previous graduates have served the education industry, and their alumni have performed very well, and they have continued their studies. They have served in various universities and research institutions at home and abroad, and have served as professors, heads of departments, directors of research institutes, and researchers.
