★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 美術學系乃教育部為培養中部地區藝術人才，均衡北中南中等學校美術教師的培育的政策下，於民國八十二年創系，設藝術學、藝術創作、藝術教育三組，並於八十七年成立藝術教育研究所碩士班，九十五年成立美術學系碩士班。
成立宗旨：
培養藝術專業人才，落實健全師資培育。
教學目標：
1. 豐富藝術理論及藝術史知識，強化藝術思辨與研究之能力。
2. 培育觀念與創作兼具的藝術人才。
3. 實踐多元文化藝術教育理念與精神，養成藝術與人文領域之教學專業。
發展重點：
1. 提昇學術研究品質。
2. 藝術理論與創作並重。
3. 重視人文與科技整合。
4. 發展國際文化交流。
The Department of Fine Arts is the Ministry of Education's policy of cultivating art talents in the central region and balancing the cultivation of art teachers in North Central South Middle Schools. It established a department in 1982 and established three groups: art, art creation, and art education. Established a master's program in the Institute of Arts Education in 17 years and a master's program in the Department of Fine Arts in 1995.
Establishment purpose:
Cultivate art professionals, and implement sound teacher training.
teaching objectives:
1. Enrich the knowledge of art theory and art history, and strengthen the ability of art speculation and research.
2. Cultivate artistic talents with both ideas and creativity.
3. Practise the concept and spirit of multicultural art education, and develop a teaching profession in the arts and humanities.
Development focus:
1. Improve the quality of academic research.
2. Pay equal attention to art theory and creation.
3. Emphasize the integration of humanities and technology.
4. Develop international cultural exchanges.
