The Department was founded in 1989, mainly in response to the development and demand of the electricity asset industry and supporting the transformation of the university into a comprehensive university. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology was established and recruited graduate students. Later in the 90 academic year, the Ministry of Education agreed to start enrolling college students and was renamed the Department of Electrical Engineering. In the 92 academic year, a doctoral program was established with approval, and an on-the-job master's degree program was added in the 94 academic year. The department's academic system is complete. In addition to cooperating with the national policy of expanding the master's degree industrial R & D talents plan, the same year, the 94 academic year began to recruit master's degree classes in the optical mechanical and electrical process automation industry. The purpose of this department's education and training objectives is to train the nation's system integration design talents required by the motor-related industries such as energy technology, power electronics, power systems, optoelectronics and communication systems, and automation control. The existing faculty lineup is strong, with expertise, and all have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from famous universities at home and abroad. Teachers' academic expertise and research fields are distributed in related fields such as green energy technology, power electronics, optoelectronics and solid-state lighting, communication systems, and automation control.
