I arrived in Fenyuan around 11:30 and was looking for a vegetarian/vegan food place to eat. This was the only place this hungry cyclist could find on Google Maps in this small town. It's conveniently located next to the main road going between Taichung and Puli (No. 14) so was a perfect place to stop.
It seems to be takeaway only at present. The owner was very helpful regardless of my limited Chinese. Most foods seemed to have sold out at the time I arrived, which is normal for breakfast shops. So I was offered fried noodles which I received in a plastic bag.
They also offered if I wanted to take a plastic bowl to eat it in as she realised I wasn't local (with all the cycling gear!) I declined and ate it straight out of the bag on a side road.
It was really tasty and included some veggies as well. Not too much oil and minimal salt which was great at 25 NT per serving. I wish I had ordered twice the amount instead! ?
