台灣欒樹，每年9~10月正值開花時期，花期長。
由原本滿株翠綠，開花時，呈現一團團，一簇簇的黃，花萼綴襯著一點紅，如小家碧玉。
結果的蒴果苞片，先是粉紅，漸成熟轉紅褐，入冬再轉黃綠色，多采多姿，嬌美欲滴。
當蒴果乾枯變成褐色，與欒樹落葉，隨風相繼凋零。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 欒樹步道環境很好，滿滿的綠色隧道可以放鬆身心，而且有腳踏車道，人與自行車相對安全。不過要到車道上拍照要小心些。東螺溪的水域環境也是難得的天然河道，環境很好，但是河道與河岸景觀上的連結，自行車道系統的連結指示，也許可以讓整個觀景體驗上更好。
