The Tanaka Sacred Heart Catholic Church was designed by Xiu Zelan, who won the Taiwan Architecture Achievement Award and is also known as the "Taiwan's First Female Architect". It incorporates the dark green glazed tile roof of a Chinese palace, and there is a Fujian-style building at the end of the roof. The auspicious decoration, combined with the simple arc-shaped building, and the stained glass of the western church, becomes a multi-composite building. Its appearance is somewhat similar to the architect’s representative work "Yangmingshan Zhongshan Tower", so the Tanaka Sacred Heart Catholic Church is also known as the Xiaozhongshan Tower . The church is next to Wenxing Middle School. Every time a train passes through Tanaka, you will see it. Not far from it is Babaozhen. It is really beautiful with the mountains and rivers.
