The gentle uphill is suitable for family outings. Finally, the Ruxiang Alley is relatively steep. The whole journey takes about 50 minutes to reach Shoutian Temple.

The temple-climbing trail from Fengbai Square is in good condition. There are steep slopes and steps in the front section and the rear section. There are a group of macaque monkeys in the middle of the monkey viewing platform. Fengbai Plaza can park and have toilets.

This season is really suitable in early December. It’s not hot and cool. It’s good to take pictures along the way. From the second pavilion to the ape viewing platform, there are groups of macaques, and I feel that they are well taken care of. Remember not to feed the macaques. The total length is 1.8 kilometers. There are many rest places along the road, only there is a 7-minute stairway from Moru Lane to Shoutian Temple. But it's not very tiring. I personally feel that trekking poles are not needed. It is not recommended to take Fengbai Road on the return journey.

Turn right at the exit of Ershui Station, walk for about 18 minutes to Fengbai Square, climb the temple trail to Shoutian Temple, pass four pavilions, and arrive at Moru Lane. The goal of ascending to the distance is coming, but you have to climb the last hundred steps. Go to the main road at the end, turn right is Shoutian Temple, and if you don’t want to take the temple trail, turn left and you can take Fengbai Road (motorcycle lane) and walk back to Fengbai Square. The trail is shaded and cooler, and the path is relatively short, but because it hurts the knees to go down the stairs, I chose Fengbai Road for the return journey. Today, there is not a single monkey. It is raining and some sections of the trail will be slippery. Special attention should be paid to those who take the elders.

111.1.16 (Sunday), the entrance of the trail is at Fengbai Square, and there are toilets next to it. It is very clean. Today, Sunday, parking is no problem. I thought it was a very loose trail, although there are no stairs from the trail entrance to the fourth pavilion. However, all the way is uphill. From Mo Ru Alley to the end, it is all stairs. The difficulty should be moderate. There are many wild macaques on the trail. That's good (of course you have to keep the food), many children are very excited to see the monkeys! When you go up the stairs behind Moru Alley, there is a fork in the road. You have to go straight at the end of the trail, and you don't know where it leads to the left! At the end of the trail, take the asphalt road to the right, you can reach the Shoutian Temple, the scenery is good, and finally you have to return to the parking lot! You can be proud to walk this trail. After all, it is not an easy thing to walk from Changhua County to Nantou County!

The trail is not long and easy to walk. You don’t need to spend too much time to go to Changhua and Nantou. There is only one word for “cool”. If you have to walk up the stairs of Ruxiang Lane, you can easily deal with it. It would be better to go to a star-rated toilet to drink a drink and then come down.

You can walk through the trail either from top or bottom, but I personally recommend bottom as there is a spacious parking lot just close to the trail entrance. A short 2 km walk takes you through the forest as well as several pavilions and waterway. The last part of the trail consists of many stairs, but it shouldn't be too difficult for common person.
