中興新村有很大的空間，有大樹綠蔭成林，有特色的市場，有大操場。之前都是白天來訪，今日（2022.3.25）傍晚來訪，雖然有些商店小販已經休息，但是，因為沒有什麼遊客，沒有人生吵雜，反倒是凸顯這個曾經是省府中心，曾經擁有為數眾多的公務人員聚集處，他的廣大與寧靜。來此安靜散步，很是愜意。
