When I came to Puli, I accidentally discovered the explosion point of the 921 earthquake that shocked the whole country~ Jiufen Ershan explosion point. It is located in Nangang Village, Guoxing Township, Nantou County. It is a series of earthquake landscapes in the Jiufen Ershan National Earthquake Memorial Site. The most shocking place is that due to the earthquake, the rock (gas) explosion caused a huge mountain fault, a large number of collapsed earth and rocks blocked the valley, and formed two dammed lakes named Sezaikeng Lake and Jiucai Lake. Moreover, the height was instantly lowered by 400 meters. Therefore, the displacement of the mountain was very serious, which caused such an amazing topographic change as the explosion point of Jiufen Ershan. In addition, you can also visit the nearby explosion point on the east side. The topography of the ground and the distortion of the house are not too much, but the explosion point can be directly reached by car, and the east side of the explosion point must be climbed for two or three hundred meters! After watching these two landscapes, you can also go to the dammed lake, Jiufen Ershan Monument and Shimen viewing platform if you are interested. However, if you want to see the dammed lake, you may have to run out of the normal trail. As for Jiufen The memorial value of Ershan Monument and Shimen Observation Deck is higher than landscape appreciation!
