★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kids loved making paper here! Staff were very friendly and gave encouraging praises to messy kids... wear long pants and WATCH OUT for little mosquitoes! My kids are still scratching their legs a day after.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guided tour every hour as of December 2019. But you will need to know Chinese.
There are helpful explanation signboards. Some are in English, the majority are in Chinese. Admission is not free, but affordable. Admission ticket includes a discount of 50 NT per pax.
You can purchase ticket to your own paper product such as paper lantern, paper fan, paper clock, etc. Suitable for primary (upper elementary onwards is advisable) and secondary school children too. Very educational.
There is a unique product: edible paper! Worth the trip to this factory.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely traditional papermill where you can experience making your own paper. The place is very well set up, with a well organized tour of the facilities. They explain the process from raw materials to a finished product. After the tour you can make your own paper and even use it to make a print or other paper product, very fun and educational.
They have extremely polite staff who speak English and explain things clearly.
Totally worth the visit if you are in the area!

We were taught on the history of paper-making, including the materials and methods used to create paper. It was amazing to learn that many organic materials can be used to make paper.
Then, we had a fan making class. The instructor guided us while we crafted our handmade fan.
The experience was worthwhile!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun and educational. It's best to arrive at the site 20 minutes before the tour starts (on the hour for us) so there's enough time to decide what DIY to take. Don't forget to visit the shop next door where they have handmade paper for sale.
