★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佛性 心性.據說民國57年9月13日住於埔里鎮觀音山之王連科居士，突然夢三人頭頂上一大片光明，金色晃耀如佛光，隔日王居士預必有責人到來，不敢外出在山恭迎，近午時，真見一師父領著二位居士出現在山路中，由於夢境啟示觀樂果士人法相莊嚴，來此尋找建寺用地，想必是佛菩薩指引，滿懷歡心的將自己的土地奉獻給上人，上人得知王居士夢境豪光雲山天，佛光普照因而為此地提名為「佛光寺」。
Buddha-nature. It is said that on September 13, 1999, the King Lianke, who lived in the Guanyin Mountain in Puli Town, suddenly dreamed that there was a large light on the top of the three people's heads. The golden light shone like a Buddha's light. Welcome in the mountain, near noon, Master Zhenjian led two laymen to appear on the mountain road. Because the dream revealed the solemn appearance of the people in Guanleguo, they came here to find a site for building a temple. It must have been guided by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, who filled themselves with joy. The land was dedicated to the Venerable Master, and the Venerable Master learned that in the dream of Lay Master Wang, the sky was full of light, and the Buddha's light was shining, so he nominated the place as "Foguang Temple".

旁邊有法王殿及彌勒殿。
The earliest part of Puli's first Buddhist pure practice area was the Thousand-Handed Guanyin Guanyin Temple.
Nearby is the Fawang Palace and Maitreya Palace.
