No entrance fee but parking fee $100 per visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to learn about the mining industry and heritage of the region. Wonderful place if you are into trains. However, it is a little bit touristy. The whole town is geared towards tourism so it lacks authentic and a sense of contemporary lived experience. After the tourist exhibits are closed at 5pm, the town is practically dead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice to view this historical train station / village. Good for afternoon visit. Check out historical train displays and plenty of restaurants, tea houses and snack vendors. They have this tree thing which I thought would animate a performance… it does not. Just gives a ball prize where you could win a TV.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small countryside village, exhibiting how wood used to be collected in the old times. Not far away from the exhibition place is a beautiful lake surrounded by a nice path. It's great to take a walk on it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ brought my kids to this place last week, they were excited to see real trains on the tracks, we can even get on the train and then take pictures. There are a few beautiful ducks in the lake, we bought a bottle of fish food and threw some of fish foods around to attract them to come closer. The weather was just fine but getting windy at noon.
