The Shuishalian Ancient Road was an important passage for Sun Moon Lake's foreign trade at that time, connecting Sun Moon Lake to the water, and then leading to Changhua area all the way. Along the way, there are cultural and creative elements such as the murals of Brother Qianzhu, the ruins of Digong Temple and the story of picking urns, making this 2.6-kilometer tree-lined road interesting and interesting. The entrance to the Shuishalian Trail is located behind the Daguan Ice Shop, next to the Fu'an Palace. The car is parked in the parking lot of Daguan Ice Store. After finishing up, you will go up the mountain along the trail next to Daguan Ice Store and you will reach the mountaineering entrance of Shuishalian Ancient Road. From the mountain climbing entrance of Fu'an Palace to the pavilion section, the ancient road was originally stone steps, but the stone steps are located on both sides of the road, and the middle is a water channel for water to flow. From the pavilion to the wooden bridge section, this section of the stone steps is spacious and easy to walk. The trails are lined with tall hemp bamboo forests. From the wooden bridge to the remains (platform) of the Digong Temple, after crossing the wooden bridge, enter the dirt road pavement. The deck of the Digong Temple relic is provided with seats for resting. From the ruins of the Digong Temple to the mountain pass of Erping Mountain, this section of the road is made of cement and walks smoothly. Shun Deng Erping Mountain (formerly known as Di Gong An Ling), the mountain climbing entrance of Erping Mountain is located a little further ahead of the remains of Di Gong Temple. There are many steps at the entrance, so you should not miss it. The elevation of Erping Mountain is about 731M, also known as Land Gonganling. The top of the mountain originally had a root point of the Land Survey Bureau, but it was missing. From the mountain climbing entrance of Erping Mountain to Yuchi Benggui Village at the end of the trail, the whole process is a cement production road. On the return trip, take a short break at the "Daguan Ice Shop". There are seats in front of the shop for rest and ice. The Shuishalian Ancient Road is about 2.6K from the entrance of Shuili to the exit of Yuchi Binggui. The walking distance is not long and the slope is moderate. The ancient road rises slowly along the Erping mountainside. There is an observatory in the middle and you can see the downtown area of ​​Shuili .
