Spent $20 NT just to find out there is nothing else to see here but the church, which is NOT OPEN TO VISITORS. $20 NT is not a lot, but when the fact that the church itself is not even open is not even slightly implied at the entrance, charging people for this is just plain wrong.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought it’s a church so I would like to pray there. And indeed it’s a church. However, a woman came out to stop us and even said it is not permitted to take photos without paying. The money is paid for the cafe or a small tea shop. It doesn’t cost much. It’s just weird when you’re a Catholic but someone asked you to pay to enter the church or take pictures. I can understand that the money can support the church with cleaning issues and other else, but it can be confusing and disappointing for those who just want to visit the church. It’s possible that some visitors may feel that the ‘church’, or even the Catholic Church, is unfriendly or any negative opinion else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 遠望潭面真美，教堂小巧美麗，四周及咖啡館真幽靜！20元新台幣值得。it cost $20 NTD entry fee but it's worthy with a gorgeous view of the lake from the top and nice cold drinks at the small coffee shop, and enjoying the local views.
