★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a bit hidden in the middle of nowhere and definitely worth going if you like a relaxing place with great local food around. be aware that you better bring some knowledge in speaking chinese in order to have an easier stay. anyway a good place to go.

The famous BBQ chicken was not as good as many people recommended, this needed ordered in advance.
Be aware that as it is located in the mountain, a lots of mosquito around which is quite annoying.
Hot spring was very basic set up and facilities are very primitive, not worth travel long way, as it is located uphill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem in the mountains. Would have no idea how to find myself if locals hadn't taken me here. Absolutely stunning environment and scenery, with private and public hot springs available. Had a room to myself with 42 degree heated pool plus cold bath. This is a secret paradise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were three spring pools open on our visit: one warm, one hot and one cold. It's a nice outdoor pool, coed. The spring has no smell. There are individual changing showers and a terrace. Two more pools with jets were empty. The restaurant was good, need to call ahead for a roasted chicken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best hot springs in Taiwan in terms of ambience and tranquility. It's designed and furnished in Japanese style.
The place is relatively remote but this is exactly why I love this secluded hideaway. Looking at the lush greenery in the morning and gazing at the dazzling stars at night while immersing myself in the private outdoor hot spring, I feel deeply embraced by Mother Nature. Time simply freezes and all worries vanish in thin air.
The pace here is slow and there's not much to do in the vicinity indeed. However, if you love nature and like to hang out with local people, this place won't disappoint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place hidden in the the mountains of Taichung with a hotel, restaurant and hot spring. For the hot spring, you can have a choice of a public one or if you want more privacy, there are two private ones. The signature dish of the restaurant is the roasted chicken where it is made to order. It takes an hour to prepare so it will be a good idea if you can order it first and go to hot spring such that you can enjoy the delicious chicken after a refreshing hot spring. Though i have not stay overnight, the environment is nice and relaxing. Will consider to stay here in my next visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this place! Our family so enjoyed the private hot springs in our room. The rooms are clean and simple. It is quiet and beautiful. We saw stars at night. The food at their restaurant was delicious. The bbq chicken is worth it. Do request for it a day in advance.
