The slate path in the dense bamboo forest, you can walk and feel at ease; it is not only suitable for hiking, but also an excellent place for outdoor photography (first visit on 2021/9/25)

The short 600-meter trail leads to the stairs to the ancient battlefield of Mengzong Bamboo Forest after walking for about 10~15 minutes. There are not many tourists, and the environment is quiet. After walking out of the ancient battlefield, there is a private tea garden on the industrial road next to it. People can't help but feel refreshed.

There is a parking lot at the entrance, about 10 cars can be parked The trail is simple and easy to walk, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the end Afterwards, you can choose to turn back on the original road or cut to the right and go up the stone steps, walk to the ancient battlefield, and then pick up the road from the ancient battlefield and walk back to the parking lot. It takes about 10 minutes to go up the stone steps, the road is easy to walk There are many bamboos on both sides to take beautiful photos online! If you come to the vicinity, it is suitable for a walk, or you need to form a half-day tour to a full-day tour with the ancient battlefield, waterfalls, and Shima Park!

The excavation of Changyuan Zhen can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. The residents who lived in Xiaobantian at that time fought for water all day long for irrigation. It was not until the era of Japanese occupation that local people joined forces to request orders from the Japanese side, and it was excavated in August 1923 and completed in February of the following year. Since then, the water from Changyuan Zhen can irrigate thousands of acres of fertile fields (including Zhulin and Zhufeng villages). This time, I followed the Changyuanzhen Ecological Trail from the Ancient Battlefield Trail. The indicator at the fork reads "There is no way to go", so I turned left. The trail follows the river without much artificial modification. Occasionally, local farmers can be seen picking bamboo shoots on both sides. When the weather is clear, the trail itself is not difficult to walk. When you reach the end of the trail, there is an instruction board that records the beginning and end of the excavation, and there is a round stone engraved with the seven characters "Changyuan Zhen Ecological Trail". The small road can connect to the township road, and there are also place names on the side of the road. If you do not pass through the ancient battlefield, you can enter here. There are several parking spaces available along the country road. This trail is recommended to travel together with the ancient battlefield of Mengzong Bamboo Forest.

Pretty but full of mosquitos and bees! Be careful and do wear pants and some environmental friendly anti-insects spray to avoid getting stings by the wild animals.
