★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 許世賢博士為清朝秀才之後，被譽為醫界女傑，政壇英雌，許世賢博士為嘉義是貢獻良多，因此特成立紀念館，藉以宣揚「世上無雙醫政治，賢能第一女英才」的風範與事蹟，傳承嘉義民主聖地的精神。
許世賢博是為台灣第一位女性博士，第一任女性縣市長，開創了女性從政的先河，擔任嘉義市長期間推動了中山路電路地下化、建設嘉義市地標-七彩噴水池等貢獻，被老一輩的嘉義人稱為嘉義媽祖婆。紀念館內展出許世賢博士的手稿、剪報、照片、醫療文物等，區分為六大專櫃，從家世、學業、懸壺濟世至各項書面資料及早年行醫、從政等將許世賢博士鞠躬盡瘁的生平忠實呈現在民眾眼前。
After Dr. Xu Shixian was a talented woman in the Qing Dynasty, he was hailed as a female hero in the medical field and a great woman in politics. Dr. Xu Shixian contributed a lot to Chiayi. , Inherit the spirit of Chiayi's democratic shrine.
Xu Shixianbo was the first female doctor in Taiwan and the first female county mayor. He pioneered the politics of women. During his tenure as the mayor of Chiayi, he contributed to the undergrounding of the Zhongshan Road circuit and the construction of Chiayi City ’s landmark-colorful fountain. The Chiayi people of the first generation are called Chiayi mother-in-law. The memorial hall displays Dr. Xu Shixian's manuscripts, newspaper clippings, photos, medical relics, etc., divided into six counters. From family background, academics, hanging pots to various written materials, as well as practicing medicine and political affairs in early years, Dr. Xu Shixian's life is faithfully presented In front of the people.

許世賢故居屬私人宅第，不對外開放參觀。青綠色的大門，外觀傳統質樸，毫無裝飾痕跡。大門前唯一可辨識許世賢博士故居的是右側下方一塊低調的長方形直立式匾額，鐫刻著「女性文化地標」，以紀念許世賢博士對於台灣女性的啟發和對於台灣民主的貢獻。許世賢故居門牆上的「女性文化地標」由嘉義市女性藝術工作者吳娟設計、製作，為一座170公分高的長方型原木嵌銅浮雕。檜木材質帶入許世賢當代的林業產業意象，上方珠簾象徵女性地位，圖面蓮花旨在表彰許世賢清廉問政的形象。
許世賢博士被尊稱為「嘉義媽祖婆」，從行醫濟世到從政歷程，創下十幾項台灣第一，如第一位女性醫學博士、中學校長、市參議員、市長、立法委員，是公認的台灣歷史性人物。這幢看似平凡的房子孕育了嘉義市三位市長。承襲母親腳步，張文英和張博雅都在行醫後轉戰政壇。
