★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You need to ask the staff to try and they will whip out a whole pineapple cake and some tea to go along with it. They do not take the initiative to give it to you otherwise. It is the same in another store I visited. Sunny Hill, however, will immediately seat you and serve you their pineapple cake.
That said, the pineapple cake is pretty good. 100% pineapple. Shortcrust is a little sweeter than Sunny Hill's. Overall, better than some of the extremely popular and in my opinion, massively overrated places up in Taipei like Chia Te who utilise the cheap and inferior wintermelon in their pineapple filling.
