★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 這家隱藏在嘉義市街道上40年代印刷廠，小小店門雖僅一公尺寬，卻曾是台中以南最大活版印刷廠，員工有上百人；至今卻完整保存著活版印刷機具古物，以及古早年代用的25 萬個鉛字、一甲子歷史的銅模鉛字鑄造機，光成本粗估900餘萬元，在當年可買下一條街了！
雖然現在電腦數位排版打字速度快，但早年用人工撿字、活版排版的印刷成一本書籍著實不易；有人工撿字手心的溫度，讓傳統印刷品多了人情味。
This printing factory in the 1940s was hidden on the streets of Chiayi City. Although the door of the small shop was only one meter wide, it was once the largest letterpress printing plant south of Taichung. It has hundreds of employees; it still preserves the antiques of letterpress printing machines. As well as the 250,000 lead type used in the ancient times and the copper mold type casting machine with a history of one Jiazi, the light cost is roughly estimated at more than 9 million yuan, and a street can be bought that year!
Although computer digital typesetting and typing are fast now, it is not easy to print into a book with manual typesetting and letterpress typesetting in the early years; the temperature of the palm of the hand of manual type selection makes traditional printed matter more humane.
