You can't even find where is the rice, it's covered by the yummy dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't want to queue at the famous hotel bento so walked around and passed by this street corner stall which was also crowded but not as crazy as the other place so gave it a try especially their prices were much cheaper as well. Probably due to no expectations because of its price, we actually like it and the portion were generous with 2 layers of ingredients(1 layer vegetables and 1 layer of pork) totally covering the rice. Big eaters may feel that the rice portion too small but I believe the seller would obliged upon request with bigger portions at a small cost or even FOC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most famous biandang here, fairly busy but good service and fairly fast ~ the side dishes are yummy and the chicken leg was moist but with a pretty light flavor in my opinion! Bamboo soup was great though, super fresh cleansing flavor!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the fried pork bento box. Very good value. NWD 100 for a very big portion. I shared a box with my friend so we could get more food in 老街.
I think bamboo shoots are famous in that region, but I didn't like them because it had a strong smell. The fried pork was good but a bit too oily. I liked the rice, veggies, and pickled veggies the most.

There are English descriptions on the wall of what they are selling and there are only 6 options (fried pork / braised pork / chicken on rice, cant remember the rest)
