★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 從出水坑步道上去接茶園，有指標右轉直走進入泥土步道，常有積水軟泥巴，大約20分鐘都算好走，最後10分鐘雜草叢生小小徑要走好，需要陡上拉繩且濕滑，要非常的小心謹慎，因為屬於邊坡較危險，沒展望來回到出水坑停車場約三小時。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 篤鼻山 的登山口是在嘉義縣道166公路64K處． 也就是大坑山 風景區的停車場步道 上去.要走320公尺高度到達山上土地公廟。
再由茶園產道 走大約 40分鐘以上才能到達篤鼻山頂。 後半段 路況很差 ．膽子不夠大者不宜嘗試．．

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 篤鼻台語為高鼻子的意思。雖為中級山但比起一些二三百公尺的郊山還算是平易近人好爬的山，竹林中雖然有很多倒伏的竹子但並不影響穿梭，密林裡也無有刺植物，只有最後拉繩處比較溼滑陡峭雨季要小心，如體力欠佳者可騎車到出水坑上方遠眺觀景處起登來回約1小時。
