★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the low season it's nice and calm and you can really enjoy nature. We went in November so the rivers are very dry. But the forest is green and we enjoyed the monkeys

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The southern loop to the top, though longer, spends much more time under the fir forest, which is really really beautiful. Northern loop can be a 'shortcut' back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the serenity and calmness of the place. Air is extremely fresh and crisp. My suggestion is to visit Alishan during off peak season so you could soak yourself in the peacefulness of Alishan forest.
