★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 樂野不像多數的鄒族部落位居偏遠的山區，從阿里山公路的中途站石棹就有三條路線可抵達.樂野大部分位於海拔1000公尺以上，具有高冷地農業發展條件，只是目前農作物的開發已到了超限利用的地步。過去的農業經濟作物，諸如水稻、玉米、板栗等已逐漸減少，而杉木、楓香、愛玉子，乃至捕魚、養鹿等產業更是萎縮。如今，以高山茶與山葵為大宗，當遊客站在樂野村落中，已經看不到滿山楓樹林的景觀，茶園取代了這些森林。
Like the majority of the Tsou tribes in the remote mountainous areas, there are three routes from the middle of the Alishan Highway. There are most of the routes to reach more than 1,000 meters above sea level, which has high coldland agricultural development conditions. Only the current development of crops has reached the point of over-utilization. In the past, agricultural cash crops, such as rice, corn, and chestnut, have gradually decreased, while industries such as Chinese fir, Fengxiang, Aiyuzi, and even fishing and deer have shrunk. Nowadays, mountain tea and wasabi are the mainstays. When tourists stand in the village of Leye, they can no longer see the landscape of the mountain full of maple trees. The tea garden has replaced these forests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 現今行政區屬嘉義縣阿里山鄉樂野村原是在meoina（石壁，今樂野村第五鄰）的懸崖下的小社，因為地層滑動且爆發瘟疫而遷到原來滿山楓樹的現址，鄒族語’La’Layua，意思就是楓樹林，和竹崎鄉中和村的石桌（阿里山公路四十八公里處）連界。
