★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日治時期為「東石郡役所」，現在為縣警察局朴子分局的這棟歷史建築，與嘉義現今的行政區域劃分有著臍帶的關係。這棟古樸典雅的磚瓦建築，原來是應日治大正年間地方行政區域改制而興建。
當時的郡役所有著行政與警務的複合功能，二層的建築包含了事務室、扇形拘留所及大禮堂等。東石郡役所在歷經世變滄桑後，仍大體保存當時風貌，目前做為朴子警察分局，也是嘉義縣內目前僅存的日治時期層級最高的官署，其所含藏的歷史文化的意義甚為豐富。
 During the Japanese occupation period, it was the "Dongshi County Office". Now it is the historical building of the County Police Station's Puzi Branch. It has an umbilical relationship with Chiayi's current administrative division. This simple and elegant brick and tile building was originally built in response to the restructuring of the local administrative area during the Taizhi Reign.
The county government at that time had a combination of administrative and policing functions. The second-floor building included a business office, a fan-shaped detention center, and a large auditorium. After the change of the dynasty, Dongshi County was still largely preserved at that time. It is currently the Puzi police station and the highest level of official office in Chiayi County. The historical and cultural significance of its possession is very high. For the rich.

警局可以參觀，警局先生也熱誠，詳細述說歷史源由，後面的樟樹樹根很特別，來看看。
