Budai Port, Chiayi County: Monument to His Royal Highness Prince Zhenai Located in Budai Town, Chiayi County, Taiwan, it is a monument erected during the Japanese occupation period to commemorate Prince Fushimi Palace's 4th Brigade who led a mixed Japanese army to land from Budaizui during the Yiwei War and fought fiercely with the local civilian army. The monument was established in January of the 12th year of Taisho (1923), and in the 16th year of the Showa era (1941), the Taiwan Governor's Office announced it as a historic site in the name of "The Land of Budaizui". After the Second World War, the monument was pulled down by the principal of the Budaidong National School and the sixth-grade students in the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946) and abandoned on the grass beside the fence. Cai Shui buried it in the ground as a foundation to build a house. After that, uneasy things began to happen nearby, and both of Cai Shui's two sons died young, which was also rumored to be related to this. The descendants of the Cai family, who later moved to Kaohsiung, hired excavators on January 5, 2002 to demolish the old house and excavate the monument. After that, on January 9, 2008, it was announced by the Chiayi County Government as a historical building in accordance with the "Cultural Assets Preservation Law", which is a state-owned property.
