沿革: 追本溯源 先泯滄桑 本宮所在地「復興」村落,清朝時代原稱「包厝庄」為包府千歲之後裔聚居地故名。 其先祖據傳係於明末清初由大陸渡海來臺,惟其早期史蹟己恩年湮代遠,無從查考。 茲據本宮包府千歲降述:「包府千歲,文衡聖帝,福德正神,香係於清朝高宗乾隆二年戊午(西元一七三八年)由先民自廣東省合浦縣南方村攜帶神牌渡海來臺,輾轉尋求吉地於包厝庄定居,並於前清高宗乾隆二十二年丁丑(西元一七五七年)再由大陸湖北省丹江口市武當山金殿分靈北極真武大帝合為包厝庄恭奉三大聖神。 並由大陸運來建材彎磚等,營建村落,開鑿龍井,闢地農耕,披荊斬棘,創業艱辛可知,所奉包府千歲,玄天上帝,文衡聖帝為保境安民,鎮護之神,雖歷滄桑,靈顯不斷,並留下龍井成為珍貴古蹟,距今己有二百五十年之歷史。至光緒年初(民前卅七年)本地方之先覺者:李、葉諸氏,聘人開築水圳成功,取名「海豐圳」水量豐沛灌溉五穀年年豐收,人民安居樂業,除栽種稻米外,亦廣植甘蔗以供製糖堪謂物阜民康。 據本庄西邊現柳樹腳公路汽車站,古稱「興化店」因地處南北交通要道,史時北通(鹿港)、南通嘉義(諸羅山)商旅必經之地,並夜宿休息站,乃成市集,設有糖廍,日「興化廍」盛產烏糖行銷各地,又本庄南面溪流「石龜溪」系諸羅山(嘉義)與雲林縣界,古稱「興化店溪」溪流匯合打貓(民雄)北邊之笨溪(三疊溪)由北港出海,地理天然形成。 日軍據台 神人蒙難 光緒廿年甲午(民前十八年)中日戰役,清廷兵敗,日軍據臺,包氏族人因抗日死傷慘重,庄社復兵火燒成灰燼,逃過災劫族人無幾逃難他遷(現居住於彰化縣溪州鄉張厝村即濁水溪西螺大橋北岸)包厝庄遭此兵災浩劫, 神人蒙難頓成廢墟,神香沈寂。待至光緒廿三年(民前十五年)許氏族人遷入重建村落,取名「下庄仔」,許氏族人來自福建省漳州府平和縣山隔虛石寮社,所祀中壇元帥由大陸移奉來台,靈顯不斷。 民國廿六年(丁丑)七七中日戰起,日人毀寺廟燒神像,禁祀中國神聖與宗教存在。 本庄神像除中壇元帥尊像由前輩許炳藏起,餘皆被日人沒收燒毀,神聖玄機逐隱不顯,直至民國卅四年乙酉日本戰敗無條件降伏,臺灣光復回歸祖國,本庄改稱「復興」,冀天道來復,象始中興也。 神蹟巍峨 古蹟重現 民國四十六年中壇元帥三太子降駕指示,為復顯神香乃向梅山「玉虛宮」重新分靈北極玄天上帝,到民國六十六年丁已六月遵奉玄天上帝聖示:須向三條崙「海清宮」重新分靈包府千歲,並重塑文衡聖帝,增雕開臺聖王、三山國王,以恢復先前神香,廣被善信,醒世度人。 民國六十六年丁已六月開臺聖王再度顯化,指示庄眾數次遵照天意,救世度人引迷入悟聖業,宜即籌備建宮,方便十方善信祈求改厄,化解三災八難。並指示廟地西南角地下有一口埋沒多年之珍貴古井,宜浚渫備用,信徒遵示連夜挖掘,果於地下數尺挖到古井彎磚,經趕工浚渫,果然水質清澈甘美,正乃一口靈泉。 至此二百餘年古蹟得以重現,以供濟施,誠奇事也。 復興古道 籌建宮宇 本庄有志人士有感於神威顯赫,醞釀建廟,為復興固有道德文化略盡棉薄,乃於民國七十年辛酉六月成立建宮促進會,十月初八日經信徒大會正式推選產生玄興宮興建委員會,負責設計展開籌備,於七十一年壬戍八月二十日破土興工。 初步興建正殿,鐘鼓樓,接待室等工程,歷時二年,耗資七百六十餘萬元 擇吉於民國七十三年十二月廿四日(農曆甲子十一月初三日)子刻舉行入火安座剪綵典禮,暨祈安植福一天法,慶祝初成。

Shishi Beitong (Lugang) and Nantong Chiayi (Zhuluoshan) must pass by business travelers and stay overnight. The station, Naicheng Market, is equipped with sugar mills. The Japanese "Xinghua Mill" is rich in black sugar and is sold in various places. The stream "Shiguixi" in the south of the village is the boundary between Zhuluo Mountain (Chiayi) and Yunlin County. It was called "Xinghua" in ancient times. The "Dianxi" stream converges with the Benxi (Sandie Creek) to the north of Damao (Minxiong), which flows from Beigang to the sea, and is naturally formed in geography. Except for the statue of the Marshal of the Central Altar, which was hidden by the predecessor Xu Bing, the rest were confiscated and burned by the Japanese. The sacred mystery disappeared until the defeat of Iyou and Japan in the 34th year of the Republic of China. Jitiandao comes and goes, like Shizhongxing. Renaissance Ancient Road   Planning to Build Palace The aspiring people in this village felt that the power of the gods was prominent, and they were planning to build temples to revive the inherent moral culture. The establishment of the palace promotion association was established in June of the 1970s. On the 8th of October, it was officially elected by the assembly of believers. The Xinggong Construction Committee was responsible for the design and preparations. It broke ground on August 20th, 2001.
