 The three surnames refer to three righteous people, Dr. Gu Shangtai, Li Chifang, and Wang Jining, who were executed in the February 28 incident. This is also the only temple in Taiwan dedicated to the victims of the February 28th incident.

三人原本是臺中人。1947年的時候，因為228事件被捕，後來在虎尾馬場被國民黨槍決。
三人過世後，遺體家屬可能不知道三人已過逝，或是知道但不敢領回，後來被善心人士收埋在埒內公墓。後來改為廟宇祭拜。
非常見證台灣歷史的地方...
The Huwei Sanxing Gong Temple is the only temple in Taiwan to worship the 228 victims. Sanxinggong Temple is located in Huwei Town, Yunlin County, Taiwan. The temple mainly enshrines Gu Shangtai, Li Chifang, and Wang Jining who died in the February 28th Incident.
The three were originally from Taichung. In 1947, he was arrested because of the 228 incident and was later executed by the Kuomintang at Huwei Racecourse.
After the death of the three, the family members of the remains may not know that the three have passed away, or they knew but did not dare to take it back. Later, they were buried in the cemetery by benevolent people. Later changed to temple worship.
