可由草嶺商圈的仙霞嶺餐廳前的茄苳步道，通往持明寺，步道往下則是峭壁雄風，景觀特殊，具挑戰。
Chiming Temple is very quiet, with excellent views of the square in front of the temple, overlooking the Holy Guanyin Peak, Xiaota Mountain, and overlooking the Qingshui River.
You can take the Qilong trail in front of the Xianxialing restaurant in the Caoling commercial district to Chiming Temple, and the trail down is the cliffs and the majestic wind, the landscape is special and challenging.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「持明寺」是草嶺的信仰中心，建於1986(民國75)年，頂端的大雄寶殿內主祀本師釋迦牟尼佛及泰國國寶級古佛文殊、普賢菩薩像。
寺前的觀景平台很是壯觀，視野很好。
大雄寶殿下方是副祀：四面佛殿，是由泰國移尊回來的。
這裡也有觀世音菩薩。
寺前環繞的群山，如有雲霧飄過來，將會如水墨一般，清晨時分的景色會更美。
由寺院旁邊階梯而下，可至峭壁雄風，是草嶺十大景之最，有到此一定要走一趟，見識一下它的陡峭山壁很是不同。
"Chiming Temple" is the center of faith in Caoling. It was built in 1986 (Republic of China). The Daxiong Hall at the top is dedicated to the Buddha Shakyamuni and the statues of Manjusri and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, the national treasure of Thailand.
The viewing platform in front of the temple is very spectacular and has a good view.
Below the Daxiong Hall is the deputy worship: the Temple of the Four-faced Buddha, which was moved back from Thailand.
There is also Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
The mountains surrounding the temple, if there are clouds and fog, will be like ink, and the scenery in the early morning will be more beautiful.
From the stairs next to the temple, you can reach the cliffs and majestic winds. It is one of the top ten scenic spots in Caoling. If you come here, you must take a trip to see its steep cliffs.

It takes about 10 minutes to reach Chiming Temple by climbing up the stairs from the cliffs and Xiongfeng all the way up. The public temple can be borrowed here. The view from the square in front of the temple is magnificent!
