由於鄰近村落城鄉差距大，交通不便，也影響小孩受教育，故造成許多到東和村買房多，使能兼顧孩子農事及上班等工作。
作物為香蕉、柑橘、麻竹筍、鳳梨居多。

Due to the large urban-rural gap between neighboring villages, inconvenient transportation, and also affecting children's education, many people go to Donghe Village to buy more houses, so that they can take care of children's farming and work.
The crops are mostly bananas, citrus, bamboo shoots and pineapples.
