The pricing was a bit too much for the provided amount of choices. The food was great so it made the price seemingly reasonable.

Huashan is a nice hotel which has the beautiful nightscape, good coffee and friendly staff. If you want to escape from the busy life in Taiwan, Hua Shan Guan Zhi is one of the most wonderful place!!

View is the thing...and the closeness to nature...for the building, it is interesting but I would say 'less is more'...very limited food choice for vegetarians...

Excellent room facilities. Enjoyed the stay there. Felt relaxed. Breakfast was OK, middling on average.

A place with great view, not pretty far from downtown. It takes me about 40 minutes to come here from Chiayi City. The place isn't very spacious, and the meals are normal, but the view worth it.

This could have been a really nice hotel. The staff are very nice, the setting is delightful, the garden beautiful (although full of wedding things - their main money-maker- but why not?), the restaurant is truly excellent and the building ... was designed by a total idiot! There was an enormous concrete bar in front of our window/balcony (and it would have helped if they had washed the algae off the glass occasionally). There are concrete pillars everywhere - sticking out into the shower, for example! The concrete it totally naked, everywhere including the bathroom and shower - how can you have hygiene when you can't clean inside those little holes everywhere? The lighting is terrible - an area in the staircase coming down from the 3rd floor was particularly dangerous, as was the little step in the bedroom with no nightlight between the bed and the bathroom. The shower was really dimly lit at night. An all-too-familiar case of an architect's trying to be clever when he needed to be intelligent!

Location: 5 stars. The location of this hotel is truly Phenomenal. Sitting just high enough to feel that you are out of the city, but close enough to access major road ways. The view of the city from above is 180 degree unobstructed. Making it a pleasant experience to just visit here. We experience sunset, sunrise, thunder storms, 4 seasons in one day. Service 4 stars. The hotel staff are not at the level you would expect for this type of hotel. It just lack of proper interaction that make you feel a bit annoying. Room 3 stars. The room looks beautiful, if you stay at the villa site, there will be no city views which defeats the purpose. The restaurant side has wonderful views. But the interior is not so well design. Bathroom is poorly lit. Shower hardware is plastic and cheesy feeling. Lighting in the room hurts your eyes. Curtain is not totally light leak proof, we having hard time sleep. We woke up tire than before which is really strange consider we are in the middle of mountain side. Tour 3 stars. Our package included night fire bug watching tour. Kind of the lame. Not suggested. We would’ve have better experience if we go alone.
