信義佛堂創立，緣起於1964（民國53年），現任住持廖寶彩堂弟廖萬有，久染肺疾，屢經醫師診察，藥石罔效，乃祈願佛祖指示迷津，服下藥物而告痊癒康復。由此靈驗感激，而塑造觀世音菩薩一尊，奉於家宅，嗣後為報謝佛恩，弘法濟世，於1970年（民國59年），獨資購買現址堂屋，改建佛堂，取名曰信義佛堂，雕塑阿彌陀佛金尊為鎮殿，同年申請加入中國佛教會為正式會員，1982年（民國71年）向佛教會申請佈教所。同年9月1日成立信義幼稚園，收容鎮內未滿學齡兒童，教化學理。

The Xinyi Buddhist Church was founded in 1964 (Republic of China 53). The current abbot Liao Baocai's cousin Liao Wanyou has suffered from lung disease for a long time. He has been diagnosed by doctors and the medicine and stones are not effective. . Thanks to this, I was able to shape the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the family house, and later repay the Buddha's grace, promote the Dharma and help the world. In 1970 (Republic of China 59), he purchased the hall at the current site as a sole proprietor and rebuilt the Buddhist hall, named Xinyi Buddhist Hall. The golden statue of Amitabha Buddha is the town hall. In the same year, he applied to join the Chinese Buddhist Association as a full member. In 1982 (Republic of China in 1971), he applied to the Buddhist Association for a mission. Xinyi Kindergarten was established on September 1 of the same year to accommodate children under school age in the town and teach chemistry.
