建立沿革: 本境奉祀伽藍尊王由來已早,其為城隍爺之護法神,專司懲罰邪惡,明辨是非之境主。本廟奉祀之主神伽藍爺金身,乃先民自福建渡台時隨身所攜帶者。初奉祀於私宅,惟香火日盛,信徒漸眾,經眾議於1717年(康熙56年),首次建廟於現址。 1750年(乾隆15年)重建,此後迭經多次整修。光緒初期,神靈顯化著稱,當年信徒到彰化媽祖廟進香,首事翁開運中途被捕,在香陣行列之混亂中不知去向,幸獲伽藍尊王之顯化指引,得知捕至彰化家中,終獲釋放。信奉者更虔誠。西元1897年(明治30年)境內大德廖算、廖心番、廖德武等發起鳩金,重興廟宇,1915年(大正4年)仍廖德武倡修廟貌。 1930年(昭和5年)林火輪、廖鐘、廖玉和、張龍、廖萬章等成立修建董事會,再興本廟。1949年(民國38年)巳丑之歲,管理人王順利;廟祝陳遠,發起募集資金,為戰後之首次修繕。1971年(民國60年),陳德、廖鍾坤、廖深、王順利主倡醵金油漆內外,肚壁油畫,煥然一新。本廟創立已歷156年,廟宇屢舊屢修,迄今尚保持完整,神靈之顯著也未曾有減。 迄1982年(民國71年),因見於年久失修,土磚粘土破舊,面積狹小,每逢慶典不敷容納眾多善信,遂組織成立管理委員會,並決議拆除重建。旋由第二屆管理委員會主任委員廖鍾坤等進行籌建工作。 民國七十五年農曆十一月二十一日正式破土興建,於八十三年農曆十一月七日竣工,共斥資新台幣二千萬餘元,歷時八載,始有今日金碧輝煌,美輪美奐之廟貌。 西螺舊稱螺陽。祖先均以農為業,伽藍爺乃攜自故里之護衛神,對先民頗有精神安定之作用,為飲水思源而奉祀為主神。陪祀神天上聖母係清朝時彰化南瑤宮天上聖母遶境時,至本宮駐駕休息所留,此為本廟與南瑤宮結緣之由來。

When believers went to Changhua’s Mazu Temple for incense, the leader Weng Kaiyun was arrested halfway through the chaos of the incense formation. Finally released. Believers are more religious. In 1897 (the 30th year of the Meiji period), Liao Suan, Liao Xinfan, and Liao Dewu initiated the dove gold and rebuilt the temple. In 1915 (the 4th year of the Taisho era), Liao Dewu still advocated building the temple appearance. In 1930 (Showa 5) Lin Huolun, Liao Zhong, Liao Yuhe, Zhang Long, Liao Wanzhang, etc. established a board of directors to rebuild the temple. In 1949 (the 38th year of the Republic of China), at the age of Xi Chou, the administrator Wang Shunli; the temple wished Chen Yuan and initiated fund-raising for the first repair after the war. In 1971 (the 60th year of the Republic of China), Chen De, Liao Zhongkun, Liao Shen, and Wang Shunli advocated gold paint inside and outside, and the belly wall oil painting was completely new. The temple has been established for 156 years. The temple has been repaired and repaired repeatedly, and it has remained intact so far, and the significance of the gods has not diminished. As of 1982 (Republic of China in 1971), due to the fact that it had been in disrepair, the adobe and clay were dilapidated, and the area was small. Every time the celebration was insufficient to accommodate many faithful people, a management committee was organized and the resolution was decided to demolish and rebuild. Liao Zhongkun, chairman of the second management committee, etc. will carry out the preparatory work. The ground was officially broken on November 21 of the lunar calendar in 1985, and the construction was completed on November 7 of the lunar calendar in 83 years. The total investment was more than 20 million NT dollars. Beautiful temple appearance. Xiluo was formerly called Luoyang. The ancestors used agriculture as their business. Lord Garan was the guardian god who brought him from his hometown, and he had a spiritual stability for the ancestors. He was worshipped as the main god for drinking water and thinking about the source. The accompaniment to the God of Our Lady of the Heavens was when the Mother of Heaven in Nanyao Palace of Changhua in the Qing Dynasty traveled around the territory, and stayed at the Resident Rest of the Palace. This is the origin of the connection between the temple and Nanyao Palace.
