Tainan Jingfu Temple is located in Wutiaogang, West Central District, Tainan City. It is also known as Fotougang Jingfu Temple. It was announced as a third-class monument on November 27 in the Republic of China (1985). The temple is dedicated to Fude Zhengshen. It is the only Digong Temple listed as a historic site in Tainan City. The site used to be Fotou Port, one of the five ports in Xidingfang, Taiwan's Fucheng City, and the Fotou Port Road Association is here. Divided into the "Royal Palace Port", "Mazu Port" and "Guandi Port" three port roads extending into the Fucheng Datianhougong and Kaijiwu Temple area, that is, Jingfu Temple is the confluence of the upper reaches of the Buddha's Head Port. Although the harbor road no longer exists, the Yongle Market where the temple is located is still very lively. Jingfu Temple was built in the fifteenth year of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1750). At that time, there were only worship pavilions and main halls, and the layout was narrow. In the forty-third year of Qianlong (1778), believers in the temple bought shophouses for rent and used the rent as the temple's incense. At that time, the temple was highly regarded. The "Fudougang Fude Temple Stele" erected in the 45th year of Qianlong (1780) clearly stipulated that the shophouses in front of the temple should not be taller than this temple. However, in the 12th year of Jiaqing (1807), a fire broke out in the temple. Three years later, funds were raised for major repairs, leaving behind the "Reconstruction of Jingfu Temple Stele" from the 16th year of Jiaqing (1811) and the "life of all materials" in the temple. The plaque serves as a testimony to this matter. After that, the temple has not been overhauled for 150 years, only minor repairs. After the Second World War, the temple was rebuilt in the 53rd year of the Republic of China (1964), and was rebuilt in the 70th year (1981) to give it its present appearance.
