★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't let this small place mislead you. They opened at 4am and placed along a short stretch that sells similar home grown fresh beef. The near here is fresh and thickly sliced. Reasonably priced too. Well worth the early trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just tried the beef soup at the 2nd Generation Ah-Tsun (@Bao-an St.) and then the 1st Generation Ah-Tsun (@Guo-hua St.), within 30 minutes. The quality and quantity were way better at the 1st Generation restaurant. Also the owner was much more friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normal price of a beef soup in Tainan, ranging from NTD100, 150, 200 for small, medium, and large size respectively. You will also be served with another bowl with sauce and ginger slices. REMEMBER to pick the beef up and move to another bowl before overcooked. I think the seasoning is worth trying if you need different stimulation.
