A great place to have noodles / won ton noodle soup is 福榮小吃店 Ramen / Noodle House. As typical with many great noodle shops in Tainan, this is next to the fabric district full of very small alley ways. It’s small, poorly lit, and can barely fit three motor scooters side-by-side together. Yet with scooters buzzing around, lots of noise, and people squeezing past each other – the line up to the shop was long and quite busy. The reason for the patient waiting was because of the amazing noodle / won ton noodle soups this shop serves. As typical with many of these food shops, the selection is few because the owners specialize in just a few items. All the items are fresh, handmade, and delicious. Even better still, the dry won ton noodles was NT$ 45 – which translates to about USD $1.50! The dish seems small yet is quite filling. And in fact I didn’t really want it to be too filling since there are so many other great food shops in the vicinity.

This restaurant has been around for decades. Its most famous speciality is the authentic Taiwanese style noodles, which are very chewy and tasty with reasonable prices. I think they are the most delicious noodles I've ever eaten in my life. The restaurant itself is very clean although it's located inside a bustling traditional market. Due to its fame, the restaurant is often packed so you'd better be prepared to queue for a while. Besides noodles, other items sold in this restaurant are all tasty Taiwanese traditional delicacies.

Opened in 1923, one of the oldest restaurants in Tainan. Being famous for 意麵(YeeMien, Taiwan noodle). Recommended.

The dumplings are fresh and juicy. Noodles aldente but a little blend. The braised egg taste good.

Service is good and fast. Noodle and dumplings are unique, don't think you can find another store with similar tastes.

4.5 Yes it's pricey....80NT for a dried noodle plus 4 wontons. But the flavor is really good, not too salty and just slightly sweet. The noodles were fried previously and they are absolutely addictive. Wonton also had a nice flavor. Service is definitely lacking...I think they really went out of their way to find the grumpiest employees haha. It's alright, we were very happy with the food (which took forever and arrived slightly cold...)

Menu by the table, mark want you want and table number and hand it to the cook. You pay after you eat. Recommend getting the dry noodle and wanton. The soup is none descript. and bland. Servers are super nice!
