I visited a 150-year old tea shop and bought two black teas, local and foreign. The old tea urns and tea names in the store are very old and worth visiting.

The century-old shop in the old street, Mr. Lin is hospitable and friendly, and shares his knowledge of tea art with others. Compared with the big tea shops on the street, the price is more reasonable! Mr. Lin will also explain the tea varieties and sources, sharing and tasting, it is a blessing for beginners in tea tasting!

It is a shop that looks awkwardly local and there is a sense of locality when you look at it from outside, but the dad of the clerk, this shop fifth generation master, 80 years of the year, based on certain knowledge, it is politely polite Nice to meet you. We were able to choose the tea leaves that were harvested in Takayama from various parts of Taiwan, such as frozen tea and beauty tea that are popular among Japanese. I think the price is depending on the product, but I bought a bag of around 500 yuan, so I think it is a kind price setting. In Tainan, Wakafu tea from Eifukuji is well-known for its appearance in tourist books in Japan, but if you look at the product type and the knowledge of the clerk, I would recommend this. (Wakamizu has a sense of security that female sales clerks can speak Japanese.)

A tea house that has been selling tea since the Qing Dynasty in 1868 and has been handed down for 5 generations. The entire row of large tea urns filled with tea leaves in front of the store has a hundred years of history, and the large tea urns have also been damaged. Now there are less than ten in the store. The price of a tael is generously written on the urn, and the fourth-generation boss is asked, saying that the tea price has not fluctuated. So I found a product that is more valuable than gold. ^ _ ^ After chatting, the boss opened the urn and let me see that the tea was packed in a vacuum package in advance. I did not imagine that I would use the ladle to take the bulk. After enquiry: It turns out that Taiwan regulations now require packaging and ingredient labeling. The large iron can on the cabinet originally came from the mainland. There are different varieties, and now it is all a thing of the past according to regulations.

I want to say that it is a century-old tea shop, so I came here to buy it. Tell me about this purchase experience: As soon as I entered, I said I wanted to buy black tea or Oriental Beauty, and the clerk showed me a few, so I stopped talking and seemed to wait to see if I wanted to buy it. After all, I knew that the tea shop was unlikely to try it. So I asked again about the origin or taste, but the response was just one or two sentences. I would not take the initiative to recommend anything better, or asked about the price of tea that I usually drink, but I also know the price. It will affect the taste, so should you at least give guests some options or more introductions? It's really unpleasant to drink after buying it home. It is really puzzling. I came here today because I believe in the quality of the tea selected by the tea shop. After all, it is a century-old tea shop. Even if it is really poor in grade and it is cheap, you can tell me that I can accept it, and you can too. Let me compare the expensive ones. Considering the price, I bought a cheap inferior product. I recognized it as unpleasant, but today I don’t say anything. I’m just a pair of these products. I’ll buy it if I want. , why should I come here to buy it? My friend said that the person I might encounter is not the boss, so that's why this is the case. Who knows? Signboards are not picky!

Yesterday morning, I brought friends from Taipei to buy them. I bought Earl Red, Oriental Beauty, Red Oolong, and Tieguanyin. I know that Tieguanyin costing 40,000 yuan can't be very good, but after a dip, the taste is probably It's better than the drink shop, the tea taste is weak, and the quaint charcoal-roasted taste is almost absent, which is a big disappointment! In vain, I went to this century-old signboard, and my friends were shocked when they went back to try the Oriental Beauty. I have never had such a bad tea! It's not that you can't afford good tea, and I have bought 8,000 per pound, but the boss (or the clerk?) will not take the initiative to introduce it, and his attitude is cold and indifferent. Take the initiative to ask what kind of tea we usually drink. An old shop that doesn't push at all!

Lots of variety of teas. Origins span older aged and newly harvested teas from China and Taiwan. Have standard fare high mountain, semi aged/aged sheng/shou puer. Unusual styles of tea not commonly found in other Taiwanese tea stores.

Stumbled upon this awesome tea shop in a small alley near the temple. The owner and his wife were incredibly nice and friendly. The store has been around since 1868!! I speak mediocre Mandarin and some Japanese and was able to communicate well enough to get his recommendations for great quality Taiwanese tea leaves. We got some oolong, black tea, green tea, and Jasmine and he drew a map to show us where the leaves came from in Taiwan and from what elevation. He has labels with some English, which was helpful. We saw the same teas being sold for a lot more elsewhere. He also showed us 50 year old tea leaves that his family roasted and has stored and still sells in small tins. They had the most unique aroma! The owner also told us he drew all the tea themed illustrations around the doorway of the shop. What a special experience!
