The old Shanlin Office was the trading place for forestry trading at that time. It is now the memorial hall of Ye Shitao. The building is made up of red bricks. The special feature is that there is a fake entrance on the side of the road. It is easy for tourists to think that it is the door XD.

In the thirty-five years of the Meiji period in Japan (1902), the Ministry of Agriculture of Taiwan’s Governor’s Office established a forestry class to manage Taiwan’s forestry and forests, and in the 14th year of Taisho (1925), a tree seedling establishment was established in Tainan City. . In the six years of the Showa era (1942), the Institute merged with the Zengwenxi Forest Water Control Office and became the Tainan Shanlin Office. Two years later, it was renamed the Forestry Affairs Division of the Tainan Prefecture Ministry of Industry. Just after the end of the Second World War, it was changed to the Nannonglin Management Office, and later became the Tainan Workstation of the Chiayi Forest Management Office of the Taiwan Provincial Forest Service. After the workstation migration, it was received and renovated by the Tainan Municipal Government. It was completed in the 1990s (2001) as a restaurant (1F) and the Confucius Temple Cultural Park Information Center (2F). Tainan City Cultural Asset Management was established on December 25, 2010. It is the first municipal-level cultural asset management unit, and the Central and Western District Library (from the original Tainan Patriotic Women's Hall to the local office), using the original forest management office on the east side of the Western-style Building as an office (3F). On March 26, 2011, the Ministry of Culture and Information was officially listed, and the Shanlin Office was transformed as a venue for the exhibition of foreign affairs. On August 11, 2012, the firm became the first Ye Shitao Literature Memorial Hall of the important writer memorial hall established by the public sector.

The city is a historic site, formerly the Shanlin Office, and now the Ye Shitao Literature Memorial Hall.
