★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small place with history. Nice architectural for picture taking. Inside it is a small shopping mall and cafe. Visitors usually leave after taking pictures. A place where it will take at between 20 to 40 minutes of visiting time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s quiet. Not a popular tourist spot, but I quite like the whole atmosphere. This is the place Japanese royal family usually stayed in Taiwan. And there are some furniture shops upstairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful restored probably early 20th century British colonial architecture nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the east district of Tainan city. The current occupants are comprised of a store with merchandises displaying on shelves, tabletops and everywhere is possible, a small eatery and even a bar downstairs. I guess those tenants pay rent to the property management and keep the building well maintained so visitors can tour the building admission free.
According to the on-site directory, there is a seminar room and they could also cater an indoor or outdoor fancy banquet for 10-12. Just imagine sitting in its old dinning room surrounded by food servers dressed in clothing stye hundred years old. Nah, it's off the chart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good choice to visit if you like historical buildings. Unfortunately there is no english text, but admiring the architecture is more than enough for me. It stands out from the other buildings in the area with the unique architecture. Keep in mind it might be hot (when it's sunny) as there are no trees nearby, wear a hat if you dislike the sun.
