崇德堂 - North District

An old historical site, but unfortunately most of them are in ruins

Chongdetang is located at No.184-1, Beihua Street, North District, Tainan City. Founded in the 40th year of the Meiji era (1917), it was initiated by the innate Taoist friend Chen Yaowen, and the name was Yaoyao. It was created on October 15, the same year. The main sacrifice to Guanyin Bodhisattva, the main festivals are February 19th and September 19th. In the 46th year of the Republic of China (1957), there were five people who lived in the church. The forest service was in charge of the church service. The small part of the farmland was kept under constant expenses, and the insufficient part was supported by Baoen Church. After entering the fifties of the Republic of China, the affairs of the Chongdetang Church tended to decline. "It has become a waste hall, leaving a main hall empty for people to hang." The hall currently only has the main hall building, like ruins, and there is no teaching affairs at all. The Chongde Hall is east to west. The building exterior is composed of three rooms, the main hall and the left and right side halls. The left and right side halls are connected by octagonal doors. Bats are painted on the four corners of the octagonal doors to indicate "blessing". Most of the roof truss wooden members collapsed, and the two ancestral halls of the ancestral hall or the zongde hall of the two main halls still have their deities under the table. The two spaces may be the worship space for the past church owners or the worshippers and believers. The two partial halls each have small doors at the main hall leading to the inner room. There are arches on the north and south sides of the eaves, which can open the space on both sides. The main hall pillars, beam columns, beams, beams, beams, and arches are made of concrete and decorated with terrazzo. The left wall is blocked with instruments, and the right wall is blocked with ink painting. It is downhill on the southwest side of Beihua Street, and Penghu people in the east come to Taiwan to build a "Longjun Hall". On the southeast side, the Heyigang Creek flows through the "Three Lords Palace" and "Duck Mother's Nest". It is currently obsolete and only the building remains for sale.
