★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Shrimp rolls were disappointing, they were lukewarm so the breading was slightly soggy. Did not have that fresh from the fryer crunch. Food was ultimately good, but this place is known for their rolls and they did not come close to the hype. Overrated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 周氏 delivers a magnificent rendition of famous street eats at Taiwan. We tried in particular the 擔仔冬粉湯麵 (NT50) and 炸蝦捲 (NT65 for 2 pieces).
The vermicelli soup was extremely comforting, even on a warm spring afternoon. Vermicelli was cooked al dente, and went well with the scallions, pork slices, fresh shrimp and braised minced pork.
The fried prawn rolls were out-of-this-world fabulous! I’ve grown up eating all sorts of prawn rolls that I would deem myself the connoisseur of prawn rolls in Singapore, but 周氏’s (or rather Tainan’s) was packed with fresh prawns that still retained a hearty bite, and enclosed within a light yet crunchy batter. Gobbled these so quickly on its own (you don’t need any dipping sauce!) that I couldn’t recall if the prawn rolls had any other accompany ingredients. Do try the rolls!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered 4 dishes to sample what others think it’s nice, the fish soup is not bad. The fried fish roe was interesting but it’s rather hard. The shrimp is so so - nothing fantastic. The fried prawn roll I think it’s over rated - I do feel cheated - it’s dry and was cold when I got it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is awesome here. Their iconic dish is the prawn rolls.
Try lots of different smaller dishes. They are easy to share with friends and family. It gets super crowded so best to come early and get a nice table. There are three floors of seating. Pay in the front and you bring your food to your table.
Would recommend and come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a craving for these fried shrimp rolls and they sure did not disappoint. 周式 is undoubtedly one of the most famous restaurants that serve these Tainan delicacies. I ordered some other Taiwanese snacks, but honestly..I’d just stick to the shrimp rolls if I were you!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is great but customer service is a little lacking if unable to communicate in mandarin. This place is busy during lunch hours. Self service just like a fast food chain. You can pick up the order form and pencil just by the counter and fill up your order and pass to the cashier for further processing. To me...the price is reasonable.
Must try the prawn roll. Made up of fish paste and prawns rolled up and fried to perfection.
Fishball dish is also a good choice. We tried the noodles and it's complimenting the side dishes that we had.
The glutinous rice is also a good dish to try.

I thought it would be as delicious as the review on google.
But when we tried it and a little bit dissapointed with the taste.
I am so sensitive with seafood’s fresh and in my opinion (subjectively) it’s not as fresh as i thought.
