★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The way the Banyan Tree engulf the building is incredible, the awe from the scene is a little hard to capture on camera.
Also, some thick wooden structures are left behind. There's some metal walkway constructed around the building, so you can enjoy the sight from a higher spot too. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Something different from the usual tourist sights, well worth the NTD50 entrance fee (which also gets you to the merchant house where there is a small exhibit). You can cross the stream for a different view as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a nice place for photos. there is a big house filled with trees and a nice river at the side with plentiful of fishes. if you are lucky you nay catch a glimpse of birds fishing for fishes in the river. there is a very large tree that is suitable for family portraits. both adults and children enjoyed their trip there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a beautiful ruin with trees growing into the existing structure. However, what years of weathering didn't finish off, the new "augmentations" with the overuse of steel beams, dominating practically every visual perspective surely ruined it for good. It is in fact doing damage to the site itself, especially aesthetically, in the name of tourism. Another victim of Taiwan's signature overdevelopment. A real pity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth visiting this tree house with so much history. Interesting to see the trees engulfing the old building. Great background for taking photos too!
Tip: Purchase the pass for 150 TWD which brings you to 4 out of 5 attractions (refer to last picture).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely historical place. Absolutely recommended to visit and with 50 Taiwan $ not really expensive. Ticket includes the visit of a little but very interesting museum informing about the first europeans who came to Taiwan and the business that was made between Western and Eastern cultures.
