該球場以啟蒙小朋友對桌球的興趣，以培養未來桌球選手的基礎訓練為宗旨。
球場顏嘉彥教練除具有中華民國桌球協會B級教練證，並於2010年~2011年在日本學習日文時，
於日本關西桌球道場（かんさいたっきゅうどうじょう）、日本大阪西難波桌球中心（かんさいたっきゅうどうじょう）擔任桌球教練。
亦曾於台南亞太桌球、億載國小擔任桌球教練，桌球教學經驗豐富。
值得一提的是安平桌球首創「彩繪桌球」「桌球彩繪」，利用球場上被踩破或踩扁的桌球，
彙集於籃子，免費提供畫筆，讓小朋友及家長發揮創意，自由彩繪。
啊！真的繪出了另外一片空間，五顏六色，色彩繽紛，創意令人讚嘆，也深獲小朋友及家長的喜愛。
「安平桌球」粉絲專頁，除了球館的活動介紹外，並連結介紹安平在地的：億載金城、安平古堡、安平劍獅...等極富安平人文特色的景點，讓桌球運動中亦有人文氣息，在桌球界中可說是相當難得的素養，「安平桌球」不僅是「安平桌球」而已，特此為文介紹。
