Mangroves are salt-tolerant plants that grow at the junction of the Haihe River. At present, there are only four types of mangrove forests in Taiwan: Shuibizi, Lam Plum, Seaweed and Five Pears. From the coast of Tainan City, starting from the mouth of the Bazhang River in the north, to the mouth of the Zengwen River in the south, the coastal areas are relatively small with wind and waves, and there are many floating islands, lakes, and estuaries. They are distributed in the shallow marshes and muddy land of Jishui Creek in Beimen District. The tree species are Shuibizi and Shuibizi; Jiangjun District grows in Jiangjunxikou, and the tree species are Shuibizi and Shuibizi; Qigu District grows in Hailiao Port and Haikou There are five hectares of sea scallions, olive plums, etc. scattered on the muddy land at the mouth of the Zengwen River at Yuyuannei Road, Pudi. The mangrove forest contains a lot of minerals and organic matter, and it is a paradise for mudskipper and fiddler crab. The city government will continue to plant mangroves by artificial restoration every year. It is expected that the mangroves of national treasure level will be built to create the most natural ecological environment for the coastal areas of Nanshi.
