About 文殊園淨珍精舍
Mr. Chiu was a committed disciple of the Three Jewels. Kind-hearted, compassionate, virtuous, and generous, he helped numerous poor people every year. Concentrating on Pure Land Buddhism, Mr. Chiu diligently studied and practiced daily. However, as time passed and he advanced in years, Mr. Chiu deeply felt that the vihara should be under the stewardship of the Three Jewels for Dharma propagation. With his family’s approval, Mr. Chiu decided to donate the entire vihara as an offering to the Three Jewels. He asked Venerable Jue-Hua, the chairperson of the Buddhist Association of Tainan and Venerable Yong-Ding of Zheng Jue Temple to search for suitable candidates. Mr. Chiu’s wish was soon fulfilled by the blessing of the Three Jewels. In 2003, Bhikshuni Venerable Ming-Jia, who studied in the United States with a master’s degree, was appointed to be the Abbess who managed the vihara.
