★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most people visited only where the large wall paintings are, but there are more to see in the back alleys. I find the place very quaint considering most of veteran villages have been wrecked down and rebuilt elsewhere into modern condominiums. This village still have people living there. Judging by the photos on display, this is probably a troop/ground force village. (Air force village tend to have bigger and nicer houses anyways.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Those people whom said it’s boring are because they have No IDEA what the culture of “Military dependent village” means and the structure 1940‘s Taiwan history. Meanwhile the info are mainly displayed in mandarin so they don’t understand.
The wall paintings combined with some old photos& elements shown the hardcore lifetime and military style of living of those main land China soldiers whom moved to Taiwan in the desperate era.
