Mrs. Linshui, also known as the Queen Mother of Shuntian in Eastern Fujian, is a god worshipped by the people of the Minjiang River in Fujian. Other believers are found in Taiwan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Southeast Asia. Because they originated from the Fuzhou government, they are regarded by the Fuzhou people. As the patron saint of the village, believers in other areas regard him as the patron saint of women and children, which is slightly similar to the beliefs of Zhusheng Niangniang and Qixing Niangniang. According to legend, Mrs. Linshui was named Chen Jinggu, a female Taoist priest of the Lushan School. She was virtuous to the people during her lifetime and was regarded as a god after her death. There are more than 130 temples dedicated to Madam Linshui in Taiwan. The ancestral temple dedicated to Mrs. Linshui is in Linshui Ancestral Palace, Daqiao Town, Gutian County, Ningde, Fujian Province. According to the records of "Farewell to the Capital of Min", the Gutian Linshui Palace has a real statue of the lady Linshui.
