Xinhua District Office also invited local clay sculpture artist Ye Xianming to create public art with the theme of "Crickets", a collection of auspicious objects in Xinhua, giving the air-raid shelter the vitality of regeneration. The public office used the Nanshi Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau's community-building alternative service plan, and the draftee fully communicated with the local residents to jointly repair the retaining wall of mortar and pebble. The bottom layer of the air raid shelter is made of reinforced concrete, the top is in the shape of a round arch, and the two sides are masonry retaining walls to prevent the soil from loosening and sliding. The preservation process of this air-raid shelter fully demonstrates the spirit of community civic participation.
