About 大坑休閒農場
Mr. & Mrs. Tsai who lived in Dakeng Mountains by farming chickens originally.
They supported the policy of government to transform high quality agriculture to leisure farming in 1991.
“Started with chicken.”
They work the farm with a determined mind to farm best native chickens.
It is much joyful to share the joy than enjoy alone. “Sharing” is our intention, and “simple life” is what we aspire to uphold.
We have wealth of natural resources, warm hospitality, LOHAS and new concept of living slowly life.
The concept of eco-sustainable tourism rise strongly. The farm advocates conservation, innovation in recreation and development creative agricultural products and regimen cuisines.
We have incomparable love and passion, and we create a very relaxing farm environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful leisure farm. Breakfast and dinner were great and the staff were very open and friendly. Operated by their own family, the food options such as their homemade ice popsicle were great. The free roaming animals and the hot spring is definitely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a day resort that bills itself as a "restful farm." But there's very little about Dakeng that is farm-like, aside from some sad animal enclosures with some sick looking guinea pigs and rabbits. The restaurant is pretty good though, some nice Taiwanese fare with a very Tainan twist (read: more sweet than Central or Northern Taiwanese food).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is quiet and peaceful during off season. The air feels so fresh and clean.
If you don't mind to sweat a bit, the observation desk (about 10-15mins of steep trekking) is quite nice.
Downside: the farm is a bit old, and needs a lot of maintainance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for a short 1 night family trip and stayed in their European style townhouse.
The room is spacious and clean, television reception is not as good, sometimes will experience noise on the screen.
The food service here has a lot room for improvement, Some of the play ground facilities are out of service or under maintenance and could not be used.
I will give it a 4 star If there were more activities to do here.
